Ear piercing is a big part of Guatemalan culture, all baby girls are pierced at birth. Ellisa was born in a remote village in Chimaltenango and her mother could not afford to have them done. Chris and I decided that it was an important part of her heritage and decided to have it done here. I think she look pretty darn cute!
