We are so happy to announce that we recieved Ellisa's pink slip tonight and our appointment with the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala. We will be flying to Guatemala on Saturday April 5th, we will get custody of Elli Sunday, our appointment with the Embassy is Monday morning at 7:15, we will get her visa on Tuesday and will fly home on Wednesday. Praise the Lord!!!!! We are so blessed right now, I can hardly believe that in a week and two day I will be holding my precious baby girl. Please keep us in your prayers! I am anxious to leave my boys and travel to another country, but I know the Lord has paved the way and will be there with us the whole time. Ellisa's story is such a testimony to God's power and His grace and we are so excited to finally be united as a family.

The best birthday present ever!!!
Chris and I are on our way out to celebrate his 29th birthday and the fact that we are offically new parents. We got our adoption decree and Ellisa is offically ours!!! Praise the Lord. Right now we are waiting on her birth certificate to be changed so that Chris and I are listed as her mother and father. She now legally has the last name Carter. After that they will do the final DNA test to ensure she is the same baby. Then they will send us a pink slip that will authorize us to come get her and give us the date of our appointment with the US embassy in Guatemala. All together they are estimating we will go to Guatemala in about 5 weeks. That would make her a little over 6 1/2 months old when we go. We cannot wait to hold her and kiss her sweet cheeks.
